After fans suspected Swift disregarded Dion on stage while collecting the 2024 Grammys' album of the year for Midnights on Sunday, the "My Heart Will Go On" singer posted a TikTok slideshow from the ceremony on Monday, featuring a nice snapshot with Swift.
"Such a memorable night," Dion's team captioned the TikTok photo of her and Swift in a sweet backstage embrace, along with photos of herself with Oprah Winfrey, stylist Law Roach, Stevie Wonder, Victoria Monét, and others.
Music from the 55-year-old singer's remarks before awarding Swift, 34, with album of the year accompanied the slideshow. "When I say that I'm happy to be here, I really mean it from my heart," Dion stated in the clip accompanying her "The Power of Love."
The "Karma" singer placed her hand on Dion's shoulder and leaned their heads against each other in the photo. They smiled gleefully in the shot and took another with Céline's son, René-Charles Angélil, who joined her on stage.
Swift, the only singer to win album of the year four times, appeared to be having fun at the Crypto.com Arena, despite fan allegations that she disregarded Dion. Award winners include Midnights, Fearless, 1989, and Folklore.
Swift stated, "This is my best moment," accepting the trophy. But I feel this thrilled when I've finished a song, unlocked the code to a bridge I adore, shot a music video, rehearsed with my dancers or band, or getting ready to play in Tokyo." Wednesday brings four back-to-back Japanese city gigs on her Eras Tour.
"For me, the award is the work," said the 14-time Grammy winner. "I just want to keep doing this. I adore it. It delights me. It amazes me that some people who voted for this honor are happy. I just want to continue. I appreciate you letting me do what I love."
Despite her health concerns, Dion presented at the Grammys for the first time in months. After presenting the night's last prize, she received a standing ovation from the A-list crowd.
