Olivia Dunne, No. 5 LSU Gymnastics Team Set School Record

The victory that the No. 5 LSU gymnastics team achieved over the No. 7 Arkansas team established a new school record.

A total of 198.475 points were scored by Olivia Dunne and her colleagues at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on Friday night, which was significantly higher than the 196.200 points earned by the Razorbacks.

The score achieved by the team is the greatest in the history of the Tigers program, as well as the highest score achieved by any team during the 2024 NCAA gymnastics season.

"As it turns out, we improved. Exactly that was the focus of this past week. "The primary objective and the primary focus was to achieve a good performance, a complete performance," said Jay Clark, the coach of the LSU gymnastics team.

There is no doubt in my mind that everyone is eager to discuss the score tonight, and that is fantastic. I am not concerned with whether or not we receive a low or high score. This pertains to how well we perform.

As a result of this victory, Clark achieved his 100th victory in his tenure as a head coach. After receiving a 9.90 in her first round and a 9.85 in her second round, Dunne, who will be a model for the 2023 edition of Swimsuit International and will be featured in this year's issue of the magazine, matched her personal season-high score on the floor.

Her average score was 9.875. In addition, she finished with a score of 9.550 on her bars routine, which was the event for which she was awarded the prestigious All-America title as a freshman in 2021. She also landed her landing precisely and nailed her bars routine.

Paul Skenes, a prospect for the Pittsburgh Pirates who is also 21 years old, was the boyfriend of the 21-year-old girl and he came to the meet to show his support for her.
